The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has declared as fraudulent, the operations of a twitter deal with @YusufPhilipYila, presupposed to belong to the Bank’s Director, Development Finance Department, Philip Yila Yusuf.
On Monday, CBN Director of Corporate Communications, Isaac Okorafor, stated the impostor deal with has been posting messages associated to the Bank’s N50 billion Targeted Credit Facility (TCF).
He famous that the scammer was doing this with the intent of wooing unsuspecting mortgage seekers and homeowners of small-scale companies.
Okorafor warned unsuspecting members of the general public to not have any dealings with the stated twitter deal with.
The spokesman stated though the CBN, by way of the NIRSAL Microfinance Bank (NMFB), has disbursed loans to profitable beneficiaries beneath its COVID-19 TCF, not one of the Bank’s officers engages in direct interactions with potential or profitable candidates.
“We, therefore, find it embarrassing that Mr. Yusuf has continued to be inundated with personal calls relating to messages from the impostor handle”, he added.
Okoroafor suggested potential candidates to to not fall for scams and undergo official channels.
