Access Bank on Sunday mentioned it’ll refund its stamp obligation deductions comprised of the account of its aggrieved prospects after a social media outcry on Saturday.
Stamp obligation deductions apply to all credit score acquired into present and financial savings accounts in respect to digital switch and teller deposits of N10, 000 and above. The cash is remitted to the Central Bank of Nigeria.

“We have considered your feedback and have decided to pay the stamp duty on our customers’ behalf for the affected period only,”.
“This means that individuals and SMEs who were debited for the accumulated stamp duty charge for February to April 2020 will be refunded.”
In an earlier assertion, the financial institution had notified prospects that it didn’t deduct stamp obligation prices on transactions that occurred between February 1, 2020, and April 30, 2020.
